Ooops!!!

Well, Keith & I tackled our yard tonight. I do the mowing (3-1/2 miles), he does the edging, and then I trimmed our bushes. Yes, I came in soaked! It was around 90 degrees today, but the Lord did help us out tonight and there was actually a "slight" cool breeze as we were about to come inside.

There's no way around it, I am going to have to go shopping for a new yard skirt! I have pinned mine until it overlaps by about 6 inches. It was really tight on me when I first started losing, but now I barely walk behind the mower and it slowly edges its way down. I walk a little ways, then stop to hike my skirt back up. I don't want to scare the neighbors!!! Thank the Lord, I do have some hips left on me, or it wouldn't be a pretty sight!

Is anyone else having this kind of problem?

Quote

Those who do not find time for exercise will have to find time for illness.

I found this quote in "Chicken Soup for the Dieter's Soul".

Yikes!

Summer is taking it's toll on the WeBFit class on Saturday morning. Many would rather be outside!

Also, we have had workdays, bridal showers, and now another workday!

I think it would be best if we cancelled the meeting at the church until fall.

BUT DON'T CANCEL your own exercise!!!! Keep active and report into Sherri your loss results!!

Keep going!! Take advantage of the nice weather. And guess what working at the church is lots of exercise!!!! Come help next Saturday!

Bridal Shower Saturday

We'll be at the park for Star's Bridal Shower so there will not be a WeBFit meeting at the church.

FYI

I am reading some interesting books. If you know me I always have more than one on the go.
#1 You on a Diet: This is one Sis K had at exercise and I found it at Walmart in the states. It has lots of interesting information about your body, how it reacts and what different methods of weight loss involve.
#2 Change One: This is a Reader's Digest book and is a proponent of working your way into a dietary change as well as an exercise change.
#3 CD of Leslie Sansone Eat Smart Walk Strong and this goes through her plan which is similar to the change one in that it starts off changing one bad habit and working through options to create new habits.

All three of them are good! The common theme is moderate healthy eating and exercise! Not drastic changes for a short time but lifelong changes for healthier life.

I am reading other books as well but these have nothing to do with diets, they are pure fiction! What is on your learning plate? Share!

Kudos!

I would like to brag on some people. These people are doing great!

****My friend Laura has lost approximately 20 lbs and looks fabulous!
**** Shannon Brown has lost and maintained the loss of 25 pounds and is getting ready to lose another ten. She looks fabulous in her new summer outfits.
****Lisa Osterbeck has lost fifteen pounds and lots of inches and is into a skirt that was too tight not too long ago.
****Sister King has lost 3 more pounds and I am not quite sure where that puts her but she IS doing it!
****Noreen, Alethia, Janai keep coming on Saturdays along with Darlene, me and Sis King.

If you are not here it is because you did not tell. Or........ I forgot! Which I can do! Let me know your successes so I can share with others and we all can be inspired!

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

I hope you are enjoying the little bit of sunshine that I saw in the sky today! It is so nice to see and enjoy.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE!!!!!

Saturday exercise is cancelled due to the work day that is happening at the church. You are welcome to come and help. I am sure doing that will burn some calories!

Here is a connection to an article written about Leslie Sansone's walking program. Lots of good little nuggets to think on in it.

FYI

Exercise will be in the small fellowship hall tomorrow, Saturday, June 7, 2008. This is due to the increasing probability of the heavens opening up and soaking and freezing us. Yes, Texas, of the HOT weather, freezing us. not literally as in below zero but....... definitely NOT WARM rain.

Saturday

This Saturday I have to help make the bridesmaid dresses for the wedding at my house.

I am wondering if you guys would like to take an outside walk on the pathway really close to my house?? Weather permitting.

If so, let me hear from you and I'll announce Wednesday night.

We could start from my house at 10:00 sharp. It is a nice walk. Everyone could go at their own pace and the faster walkers could go to the end and the slower pace can go as far as they like and either wait for the faster walkers to return or start back to the beginning.

You can park on the side street by house. Just make sure you are far enough away from the fire hydrant.

What do you think?
