Prayer for a miracle

May i please ask for prayer for myself and my children? I need a miracle in the next 3 weeks, and God is definitely still in the business. I have found the best lawyer there is, but need a miracle there too as he is also the most expensive: but I will do anything...my babies are worth it! Please, please just help me pray!

Red Bull anyone???

Hey has anyone tried those Red Bull drinks? I've heard they give you energy, so I was wondering if it would help to drink one before exercising?

Over the 1/2 way mark

I am now officially over the half way point of my "proposed recovery time" of 6 weeks. For all those of you who have been concerned about me not being "good" during this time I have been following the rules and have been quite helpless for sure! Not that I like it at all!

I do tire very quickly. Pastor King has been great. He is making sure I do it right when he is around.

Thank you to all those of you that have brought supper at Loro's request. The food has been outstanding. I really appreciate and feel so spoiled!

One bonus of this surgery is that I have lost a bit of weight. Hopefully I can keep it off and go down that extra bit that I need after recovery. I am hoping to do lots of walking in July. It will be a while before I can do strength resistance again.

I am still taking small amounts of food more often. I hope I can keep that up as well. It is a big key to weight loss and mainenance.

Father's Day

Don't forget to give your father's a huge heartfelt Happy Father's Day, ladies! After all we would not be here, but for them...don't tell them that though, or we'll have a church full of swelled heads tomorrow...JK!!! My kids bought my dad the most beautiful card...and it fits perfectly, since he is the father figure in their lives. I have to say I am doubly thankful for him for that! Love you all!

SWIM NIGHT FULL!

Wow! The swim night on June 24 from 10:15PM - 12:15AM is now full. Everyone has already paid because I was saying first pay.. I can't reserve spots. It's at the Village Square Leisure Centre, if anyone needs the address, you can give me a call at 606-9806.

It was so awesome to see you in church tonight! Welcome back, and thank God for his healing on your body! I ahve to say you look amazing...that weight loss just put you right where you wanted to be didn't it? Lokks like it! You look incredible, and I hope you'll be felling the same soon. Love you tons!

Thoughts on a Wednesday night

Tonight as I listen to my son, Mark, preach, my heart is stirred. As before I marvel that my offspring can minister to my heart and soul. That he can create desire in me to know God more. To love Him more. To please Him more.

Something that he said tonight connected something about Mark for me. He related how he received the gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 7. He was in Children’s Church. Dave Steinberg was teaching the children about Jesus being their best friend. That thought took root in Mark’s young heart. He went forward to become best friends with Jesus.

The start of his own personal relationship with Jesus was desiring to be his best friend. Therefore it is not strange now that as a minister Mark’s focus is preaching on a personal relationship with Christ. His persistent theme is getting more of God. Tonight he is saying “I just want Jesus!” “I don’t care about anything else tonight!” “I want pure God tonight!” I listen and watch as he leads the church straight to the throne to communicate with their friend.

I am reminded again that if we get the relationship right we will not have trouble living to please Him. Everything falls in place when the relationship is a personal one. If we strive to live godly without that type of relationship it becomes just a struggle.

Developing a deeper relationship with the best friend you could have makes living for Him the most desirable thing you could do.

God be my best friend!

Mini Meals

One good thing that is coming out of this surgery so far is that I am on mini meals still. I don't have a big appetite and can only take small amount at a time.

I didn't eat anything for about 6 days except a piece of toast, a bit of ice cream. Tuesday afternoon when I came home from the hospital was my first meal since the surgery. Misty made a delicious chicken soup. I say meal....I had about a half of a cup for the start.

Since then I have still been taking small, small portions throughout the day. It fills me up.

If I can keep this stomach shrunk....maybe I can lose that last bit I want to!

I am recovering well and trying to obey the rules! So frustrating!

We`re so busy watching out for what`s just ahead of us that we don`t take time to enjoy where we are.

Still Kicking

Just a quick update to say I am still kicking!

I got home Tuesday afternoon. Misty and PK are spoiling me for sure!

Thanks for understanding about my request for no visitors. When you are that out of it and sick you really don't feel like it.

I do want to express my gratitude to the ones that I had arranged to come and help me before I went in.

Annette, sweet Annette, there on the first night, rubbing my calves and feet and praying!

Sherri, in her calm, gentle way with me the second night. I felt secure.

Mer, there to massage my aching arm and hand. She worked a miracle on my hand. It was so swollen from the IV.

And my dearest Misty, there with me for 3 nights and days! How thankful I was that she was there! An extension of me helping me!
