Any updates on Nikki?

Mrs. Wizzle said...: This is as of last night. I spent the night with her on Thursday. she slept reasonably well but still is not caught up on rest. Friday was a rotten day. Several doctors presented her with some very difficult decisions to make as to how aggressive to treat the kidney problems and the effects of that on the baby. They wanted to give her large doses of prednisone intravenously to work on the kidneys and her veins are not good. they had to get a guy from ICU with an ultrasound machine to come and find the vein. He is the best and it took him 5 trys to get an iv in. Nasty, nasty. She had a temp last night and was very miserable for a while.

please please keep her in your prayers. It is like riding a rollercoaster. She was good on Thursday and Friday was rough. Gail spent the night with her and Larry just talked to her and Nikki slept well but her sugars are high. PRobably from the prednisone. that is being dealt with with insulin.
